Why does ears blocks when a train passed through a tunnel under hills.

Travelling on the south western coast of india and there are so many tunnels under the hills. Everytime the train passes through a tunnel, the ear seems to block. So just curious that why does ears blocks when a train passed through a tunnel under hills.

Same happens with Aircrafts.
